Covid-19 and Studying Abroad
Students’ health and safety abroad are our top priority, and we aim to partner with students to make well-informed decisions about studying abroad. As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic continues, it is difficult to predict the ways in which different locations will be impacted.
If you plan to participate in a study abroad experience it is your responsibility to learn about health conditions, health restrictions, quarantine requirements, and vaccination and mask policies in your destination country. Many programs require participants to have up to date Covid vaccinations. Please consult the following resources:
- US Embassy site in your destination country
- US State Department Travel Guidelines
- CDC Centers for Disease Control & Prevention
- Your host university or study abroad provider policies
Please note that Study Abroad insurance covers medical costs relating to a diagnosis of Covid-19, however, any costs relating to Covid testing, quarantine procedures or costs related to changes of travel plans may be the responsibility of the traveler.
