Adelaide is Australia at its best, and you can spend your summer soaking in the beaches, the wildlife, and the Aussie charm. When it comes to your studies, the classes at the University of Adelaide will challenge and inspire you. The University’s Small-Group Discovery Experience actively encourages you to engage with your coursework and peers in order to grow as a student. You’ll take an intensive six-credit academic program in an outdoors-oriented environment. Hit the books, and then hit the beach, the nearby Shiraz wineries, or the famous Adelaide Zoo.

Get excited about:
  • South Australia's vibrant, safe, capital city
  • A warm, Mediterranean-like climate
  • One of the most affordable of all major cities in Australia
  • AACSB-accredited business school
  • Youthful vibe with many local and international students
Location:
There are good reasons that Adelaide is consistently in the top ten of "most livable cities" in the world: great climate, affordable cost of living, and a laid-back lifestyle. As the capital city of the state of South Australia, Adelaide is Australia’s fifth most populous city. And, with 1.2 million people, it's also the center of the state economically, politically, culturally, and socially.

A hip and multicultural city, you'll find eclectic cuisine, idyllic beaches, Shiraz wineries, and Australian wildlife. The city is also home to six universities. One in five people living in Adelaide originated from somewhere outside Australia, making it a welcoming, diverse community.

The city is sandwiched between white sandy beaches to the west and rolling hills 20 minutes to the east. Beaches offer calm, safe swimming waters, while the hills are a great place to discover South Australia’s beautiful, tree-studded landscape. The city center is well organized and easy to get around by foot, bike, or affordable public transportation. A ten-minute walk from downtown lands you at the beloved Adelaide Zoo, where you can glimpse 1,800 different kinds of animals, including kangaroos, koalas, and giant pandas!

Don't forget, Adelaide is also Australia’s festival city, with over 400 cultural festivals held year round. You can dress up for the International Rugby Sevens at the Oval or catch an outdoor film during the Fringe Festival. Quite simply, Adelaide is a very pleasant place to live, work, and study.
