Program Description:
Choose from many different programmatic options!  Each program has a German language and culture course as well as another academic choice.  With this unique exchange, Parkside students pay for 5 Parkside tuition credits which covers the cost of housing, courses and excursions.

From June to August, Hessen International Summer Universities (ISUs) take place at various universities in the state of Hessen, Germany.
  • An interesting study program with exciting topics from a wide range of subject areas taught by highly qualified German and international experts
  • All universities require a 2 credit German language and culture courses which is taught at different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • Various excursions and cultural events
  • Credits - upon successful completion of the program
Summer programs are offered at the following universities:
  •     Darmstadt:  Choose from "Digital Transformation" (Communication) or "In Transition to a Pure Green Energy Economy" (Business or Engineering) 
  •     Fulda:  Choose from: "Business-Int'l Management", "Sustainability" "Intercultural Competence" (Business, Communication)
  •     Marburg: "Germany and Europe in a Turbulent World" (History, Politics, Society and Culture)
This program is managed through UW Oshkosh.  A $100 program application fee is required in addition to UW Parkside Study Abroad fees.
